Andrew and Liz Porter founded Doc Porter’s in 2014 with a simple mission: to craft exceptional grain-to-glass spirits using locally sourced grains.
Named after Andrew’s grandfather, Dr. Richard Porter, the distillery came to life in Charlotte’s LoSo District, where Doc Porter’s operated until 2020. When the original space was purchased by a developer—and amid the uncertainty of COVID—the distillery was forced to close its doors.

The Last Call
Before closing, in late 2020, the team distilled their final batches of bourbon, rye, and malt whiskey—spirits that would need years to mature. After five years of patience, craftsmanship, and careful tasting, those barrels have finally reached perfection.
