HOW TO FIND OUR PRODUCTS
The EASIEST way to buy our products is to grab them at Great Wagon Road NoDa during their business hours. You can buy unlimited bottles of all products for the same price as the ABC stores.
You can also find our products in Mecklenburg County ABC stores but shelf placement and widespread distribution to stores is tough for a small distillery. To find out which stores have our product, follow steps below.

VERY IMPORTANT: If you don’t see it on the shelves or can’t find it, ask for it. Often it’s in the back and customers asking for our product is the single biggest thing you can do to help improve our placement.
Bonus points: Ask for it at bars and restaurants! If they don’t have it, discuss how amazing it is and suggest they pick it up…support local!

our STORY
We, Andrew and Liz Porter, founded Doc Porter’s in 2014 with a simple mission: to craft exceptional grain-to-glass spirits using locally sourced grains. Our goal was to create beautiful, handcrafted spirits the community could enjoy and take pride in. That vision came to life in Charlotte’s LoSo District, where Doc Porter’s operated until 2020, when the original distillery was purchased by a developer—and with the added uncertainty of COVID—the distillery was forced to close its doors.
In the months before the distillery closed its doors (late 2020), we were hand-crafting the final batches of bourbon, rye, and malt whiskey, but they needed time to age. Since these would be our last batches, we took our sweet time. After five years of patience, craftsmanship, and careful tasting, we’ve aged our final batches to perfection. Now, as we say a proud goodbye to the brand we’ve loved building, we’re releasing our finest whiskey yet. Our ‘Last Call’ batches are here— we hope you enjoy.

Doc Porter, grandfather of head distiller Andrew Porter and our namesake.
Doc porter
Doc Porter was the grandfather of our owner and head distiller, Andrew Porter. After serving in the US Navy, he became a radiologist and was a pioneer in his field, working on groundbreaking procedures with radioactive isotopes. He had a love for science, fast cars, and his family. When the time came to put a name on the products we are incredibly proud of, his name was the perfect fit.
We lost Doc Porter in 2012, but we know he would be proud of what we've built and would have enjoyed sipping on a namesake cocktail.
The Porters
Andrew and Liz Porter are the husband and wife co-owners of Doc Porter's Distillery. They have two young daughters and love are proud to contribute incredible craft products to the community they love.
